Capturing a Feeling

Games have always a passion of mine. Growing up, I was infatuated with the way you can just get lost in one.  There is little better than when a game completely transports you into it, where every mechanic and action is so well reinforced that you end up feeling the way your character is feeling, experiencing what they are experiencing. It was always such a mystifying experience.

As I began studying game design, I was able to demystify, identify, and understand how games immerse players in those feelings and get players lost in the experience. As I grew as a game designer and learned what kind of designer I wanted to be, it became clear that I wanted to be where I could help push games into capturing the feelings they’re meant to, and designing the pieces that truly push the experience we are trying to convey to the player.

What I love about UX Design, above all else, is how I can help players get hooked into that feeling and get lost in the experience.
